Don’t Ignore These Signs: Early Detection of Skin Cancers

What I want to convey here is to look, watch, observe & take appropriate action whenever encounters certain signs, because most obvious early seen & noticeable signs which anybody appreciate is the signs of skin cancer: any changes in moles, birthmark or raise lesions over skin can be a potential melanoma.

Over the course of time, the climate, the mother nature showing us its vigorous rage persona with regards to our behavior; makes us prone to alot of diseases.

As this year we saw the rage of sun, the near boiling temperature we have survived but how long..!!

Features suggesting malignant transformation:
(you could easily remember this on your fingertips as A B C D E):

A: Asymmetry

B: irregular Border

C: Colour changes

D: Diameter >6mm (rapidly increasing in size)

E: Evolution

Asymmetry:

simply over here means one half doesn’t match the other half. One half of the mole is not the mirror image of the other.

Irregular Border:

The moles or any raised lesion suddenly present in your body with irregular Borders which was previously not increasing & the symmetry was undisturbed.

Colour change:

when there is sudden change of colour in the mole or on any lesion or on birth mark, previously which was light brown or black suddenly you noticed unusual colour; it is the cautious sign as it could be a melanoma warning sign.

common moles usually have an even color.

Diameter (size):

usually, the moles are smaller than about 5 millimeters wide. It is usually round, oval & a smooth surface.

Evolution:

watch over moles, over time whether it change in size, shape, color or height. Also, new symptoms can arise, such as itchiness or bleeding.

Note: the uv radiations not only just affect our skin superficially, it does penetrate dipper into the cells & has the power to mutate our genes.

If any signs become noticeable consult your Dermatologist for further evaluations.
